Preschool Graduation

Connor graduated from Preschool on Wednesday...so he can go to Preschool again this next year. ;)It was fun to go watch the program. Nothing fancy. They had it in the school's library.

Some highlights..
1.He got a yearbook of all of the kids from class. It had their picture and favorite things listed the pages.

2. He was the first child to run screaming when they called his name to get his certificate. There were other kids that did this..but he was the first one to do it. I did get him to pose for a picture with Miss Melanie (told him he had to take a picture if he wanted to eat the piece of candy...worked like a charm)

3. The children sang some songs they learned for the parents. Connnor hid most of the time they sang, or stood behind the teacher watching the kids sing.

4. They had a slideshow from the year, showing the cute activities they did.

5. Afterwards they had snacks (kid snacks) since it was their normal snack time for class.

And then the kids got to run around and play. Connor pretended he was a monster and chased all the kids around.

We are officially on summer break now. It will be an adjustment for him since he is so used to getting ready for the school bus. We we still have a month of summer school to make sure he doesn't digress in his learning. But for now, we get to enjoy a (hopefully) warm summer full of sprinklers, trampolines and playing with friends. :)

Water Fun!

We had a wet weekend, but the sun came out a little today. So I pulled out some of our new water toys for the kids to enjoy. The pictures did not turn out very well since all I had on me was a camera phone.

In the pictures are Connor and his best buddy Ben. We tested out a circular water tube that fills up with water and then sprays water for the kids to run through. They loved it!

A Weekend Of Kyler, Buzz and Woody

While we were up in Idaho this past weekend, Kyler got reaquainted with some old toys a cousin had left at my parents house. A life size Woody and Buzz from Toy Story. Since Toy Story is one of his favorite movies...he was in heaven!!

Here he is with his new buddies...

And he even gave both of them a kiss for us!

Funny boy! He always goes for the lips!!

The Month Of Birthdays

We have entered the month of birthdays! Most of the birthdays in our family and our friends are during this 30 day period. We decided to have a small family party for Kyler since Connor's birthday is only 2 weeks later. (And he just might be old enough to remember the party).

So this past weekend was Shirley (Randy's mom's birthday) the 24th, Cassie (my sister who died a few years ago) the 25th, my birthday the 26th and Kyler the 27th birthdays. We ended up going to Idaho over the Memorial Day holiday to celebrate both Kyler and my birthday's. It was nice to have my parents and sisters around for the small get together.

Connor and Kyler loved playing with their cousins and Kyler had fun blowing out his candles. Over and over again since we used trick candles.

I made a superman/spiderman cake for him since he loves superheros. He is now 2 years old.

For the rest of the weekend he sang the "happy birthday song". Connor really got into the opening of the presents. He got everyone chanting "open it, open it". I am excited for his birthday. He will really enjoy it.

For my birthday Kyler got to blow out my candles for me, he was so into it. Then I got the best gift ever!

An external hard drive for my computer. Yes, I asked for it and yes, I am turning into a techno geek. ;)

This hard drive stores all of my files and pictures as a back up...just in case my computer ever crashes. With all of the photos I use on my website, I am always worried about this. No longer!!!

It was so nice to get away for the small weekend and be with our family.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! I hope that your day was as pleasant as mine was. We attempted family pictures, but my neighbor didn't actually take the pictures when he thought he did. By the time we realized it the boys were running through sprinklers. So the only pictures I have of the boys were a quick snapshot Randy took before church.
We did get a few shots of us. Which is nice since all of our pictures is of one or the other. I messed around with photoshop and figured out how to do a color pop. (don't ask me how long it took !!)

Here's my mother's day gift! I know my younger (more feminist) self would of died! Randy knows better than to buy gifts like this for me...but I guess I am getting more ok with it as I get older. It is really cute and I really need an apron to save more of my clothes when I cook.

Randy gave me the royal treatment after church with Ribeye steaks (thanks Val!!), salad, and yummy mashed potatoes. And then my boys gave me the best gift of all!! They actually both took a nap at the same time so I got to catch up with some much needed rest.

Both Randy and I are really lucky to have the best mothers in the world! I am so thankful for Shirley. I adore her. My own mom is one of my best friends. Ever since she came down to watch my kids when we were on our cruise, my boys ask for her all the time.

If only we could live closer to both of them. Happy Mother's Day!

Handy Randy

My handy man has been busy this past week , building a fence! I can't wait til it is done. Connor escapes out the front window way too much!!! He finished the back fence on Tuesday and now is working on the side fence. Once that is done we just need to connect the exsisting fence to the house and my kids will have a (safe)wonderland to play in.

Here are some pictures from tuesday.. He is doing a fantabulous job!

Sorry about the blurriness. The sun was setting as I was taking the pictures.

My car has been on the fritz lately too. It is started to show it's age. We've had it for 7 years. The air conditioning has been out on it for 2 months. Pretty miserable driving around town it in. But luckily my handy Randy has been tinkering around a bit and discovered its the cable on the air conditioning that needs to be replaced. Luckily it is a simple $9 fix.

Man I am lucky to have such a handy Randy.

Thank You Randy!!!!
