Boy has he been talking up a storm lately!! Here are just a few of the cute conversations we've had the pleasure of enjoying...
------------------------------
On Sunday it took me a little longer to get out of my church class. Connor told his teacher..."We need to go find my mom. I know what she looks like. She has yellow stripes of paint in her hair."
------------------------------
We had a cub scout meeting on sunday and the boys were in the nursery being watched by the activity days girls and their leader. Connor approached the lady over it and asked her if she had a baby in her belly. She told him no. A little bit later he asked if he could hear her baby. She again told him there was no baby in her belly. (I am glad he is still young because it could of been a little devastating for her). He then asked all of the activity days girls if they had babies in their bellies- and got a resounding "No Way!" out of them.
------------------------------
A little while ago, Connor was being a little bossy with Kyler. I told him that he was not Kyler's boss, that I was. So he told me he was going to grow tall and get married and then he will be the boss. I told him that was true.....but that I will always be his boss!!
------------------------------
He drew me a picture of my house the other day and on the other side a picture of his house. Then he told me he was going to buy a house far away from my house. He said his house will cost him $100 and that he will be big and tall and be a dad. I told him I would be sad he lived so far away and he told me it was ok because he will ride his bumblebee bike to come see me. Then yesterday he was adding more color to the picture of his house and I told him that he couldn't live far away from me because I needed to tuck him in bed at night. I told him that Mommies always tuck in their little boys. He said "Mom, I will be big and a man and I can tuck myself in bed." lol! He is growing up too fast for me!!
----------------------------------
One of his big discoveries lately has been electricity and power lines. We've had a few conversations about how the electricity travels on power lines and then goes into the ground so houses and stores can have light. He told his speech teacher on tuesday that he was going to grow tall and become a dad just like his dad. He said he was going to be a builder just like his dad and wear a orange vest to be careful around cars and work on power lines and electricity. She got quite the kick out of it.
In his mind a builder is everything to do with anything that can be fixed or built. Houses, roads, buildings...you name it, if it is something that can be fixed, the builder does it. He still doesn't believe me that Bob the Builder is just a cartoon. He thinks he built our house. ;)
