Happy Due Date!!
We went out last night to celebrate the Baby's Due Date.
Not the best angle for a picture to be taken. I look HUGE! Happy due date baby. Since you didn't want to join the party, we'll be seeing you on Tuesday when the doctor induces you. ;)

Putting The Boys Room Together
Yay! We finally made it to the transition from toddler beds to big boy beds. With the baby coming, we got rid of my office and moved the boys room into it. We were waiting for the bookcase/dresser to get done, and after 1 1/2 months, we were finally to the point of putting everything together. Yippeee!
Randy built the bookcase from scratch, following a design we saw on Pottery Barn's website.
He says he's a "purist" when it comes to building things...which involves starting with boards and going through the whole process of planing, glueing, sanding, joining, cutting, biscuits, cutting to size and glueing again before sanding more to get the finally look.
We had some problems with the paint, but after calling the paint manufacturer and being reassured that thining the paint down to a sprayable level would not ruin the paint, we finally figured out spraying the paint.

We added an extra row of drawers at the bottom to be used as a dresser (since the boys bedroom is so small). And we also added beadboard to the back and a small crown as design features.
After the handles were added.
Some close ups. There really wasn't that much room to get a full shot of it.

Next: The bunkbed...
We found a place that sold bunkbeds for cheaper than Randy could make it. It is cherry instead of black, but we can always repaint it in the future if we decide we don't like it.
The boys got to help put the bunkbed together.
Connor loved being able to use the allen wrench to screw everything together.
And of course, what little boy can resist sliding down the stairs in a big box. ;)
Finished result.
The boys were so excited to get to go to bed in their BIG boy bed.
And I woke up to this.
And this...
New room= Happy Boys. Now if we can get the baby's room ready...

Easter 2010
We went to the Eagle Mountain's city easter hunt on saturday, where the boys scored big...not! I wonder how worth it these hunts are. I guess I need to start practicing with the boys before we go if we want to have any chance of getting more than a few eggs. Kyler ended up with 1 egg and Connor got 5.
They had all of the kids put the egg shells back in boxes like these...just to give you an idea of how many eggs were at the hunt. Alot!
Randy gave them both rides on the motorcycle to cheer them up. They love getting rides on the bike.

Sunday morning, we woke up to snow! Again. But it didn't stop us from a backyard hunt for the boys. They enjoyed this one alot better. They actually got eggs and candy.

The rest of the day we enjoyed some conference and Aaron's family came over to play and enjoy some lunch. It was a fun afternoon. The boys love being with their cousins~!
